Sechü Zubza FC came from behind to defeat Tsütuonuomia Youth Organisation (TYO) 3–1 in the first semi-final of the 1st Atuo Mezhür Sekhose Super League – Champions Cup 2026 at the Indira Gandhi Stadium, Kohima, on Tuesday, booking their place in the final.
TYO made a strong start to the semi-final, with Mhasilhoukho Chietsü opening the scoring in the 13th minute to give his side an early advantage.
Sechü Zubza FC responded after the break, with Aneizo M Suokhrie finding the equaliser in the 52nd minute. The league champions then took control of the contest as Pulovi Kiho put SZFC ahead in the 65th minute.
Vikhozoto Zhünyü added a third in the 79th minute to complete the comeback and seal a 3–1 victory for Sechü Zubza FC.
The match also saw an injury substitution for TYO, with Captain Medoneituo Sekhose forced to leave the field in the 57th minute and replaced by Atejnjenba Yaden. Sechü Zubza captain Kekhrieletuo Tsira was shown a yellow card in the 89th minute.
The victory takes Sechü Zubza FC into the Champions Cup final, continuing their impressive run after finishing the league stage as champions with a perfect four wins from four matches.
B Henok Buchem, Deputy Commissioner and Chairman, District Sports Council, Kohima, graced the first semi-final as the Special Guest.
The match was officiated by Kezevituo Vizo as referee, with Imlimerenla Jamir and Medochülie Chütso as Assistant Referees. Mhasikhonuo Paünuo served as the Fourth Official, while Medozevi Punyü was the Match Commissioner.
The second semi-final will be played on August 27 at 6 pm at the IG Stadium, Kohima, with Mez & Co taking on Vanguard Academy.
The Chümoukedima District Football Association will grace the occasion as the Special Guest.
The 1st Atuo Mezhür Sekhose Super League – Champions Cup 2026 is organised by the Kohima District Football Association (KDFA) under the aegis of the Nagaland Football Association (NFA), in collaboration with the Department of Youth Resources and Sports, Government of Nagaland.
