Dimapur, July 21 (MExN): The 1st Dimapur Phom Churches Sports Meet being held under the theme “Ensemble Forts 2017” concluded today at the DDSC Stadium. Khoiwang Konyak, President ENPO, who was the Guest of Honour at the closing, encouraged the young players to take part in true sporting spirit. In addition, he also highlighted few issues with regard to Eastern Nagaland. He further expressed his delight to be a part of such glorious event and acknowledged the Dimapur Phom Students’ Union for organising the event, a press release informed. The closing ceremony was invoked by Associate Pastor, DPBC and a special number was presented by Phangoi. The programme concluded with a benediction by the Youth Pastor, CPBC. The main highlight of the final day event was the Volleyball Match played between Dimapur Phom Baptist Church and Signal Phom Baptist Church. The two-day sporting event also covered games like Athletics, Football, Volleyball and Tug of War. The event also witnessed an overwhelming crowd all through the sports meet, the release stated.
