Fore Runner Thizama and Head Hunter today registered wins in their respective matches at the ongoing 24th Classic Cup 2018 here under the aegis of Classic Club Kohima.
In the first match of the day, Fore Runner defeated Chizami United FC via tie breaker after the match ended in a 1-1 draw in regulation time.
Chizami United FC took 1-0 lead till 48th minute through Eniebe Thopi while the equalizer goal for Fore Runner came through the boot of Lima Kumzuk in the 59th minute. In the tie- breaker, Fore Runner defeated Chizami United FC 4-2.
With this, Fore Runner will clash with Phoenix FC on November 8.
Head Hunter meanwhile blanked Kohima Royal Kick's 8-0 in the second match of the day. Rhitso opened the account for Head Hunter in the 1st minute who later inked hat-trick after scoring two more goals in the 13th and 40th minute.
Chingsha and Petevizo contributed two goals each for the team. The team gained another goal through Khekiho.
With today’s win, Head Hunter will face Zhadima Jr. FC on November 8.
