
imagi.NATION announces 3rd edition of IMAGISTAGE at Kisama

In view of the upcoming 25th edition of Hornbill Festival 2024, imagi.NATION announced the third edition of IMAGISTAGE, a dynamic festivity of art and creativity, set to take place from December 1 to 10 in the heart of imagi.LAND, Naga Heritage Village, Kisama.
IMAGISTAGE aims to go beyond the festive celebration by focusing on imparting a holistic experience of cultural creativity through art, music and entertainment.
It delineates the significance of inclusivity for the general public of all ages by promoting diversity through a blend of culture and modernity and strives to celebrate a myriad of artistic expressions through its event.
Elivino Seleyi, the Managing Director of imagi.NATION states, “IMAGISTAGE intends to promote and create platforms for creativity, providing the wider public with a unique source of contemporary art and music.”
IMAGISTAGE has a catalogue of recreational activities prepared that is set to ignite the festive spirit.
The venue is packed with corners and supplementary events including a book corner, kids play zone, noodles eating competition, photo booth and souvenir booth, and gaming booth which will comprise of fun amusements such as shooting, pyramid, corn hole etc. The general public will also get to rent bicycles inside the venue to explore the grounds of Kisama.
IMAGISTAGE is set to bring forth a series of major partnership events that encompass a range of diversified fields of arts and culture.
The Reckitt Live Music with Infinity Inc. is scheduled on the 2nd of December 2024, followed by Hornbill Dance Off with Nagaland Dance Fiesta and The Winter Cosfest with Nagaland Anime Junkies(NAJ) on the 6th and 8th of December respectively.
Nestled in the heart of Naga Heritage Village Kisama, the festival will also feature the IMAGI CAMPSITE and a Children’s Park in imagi.LAND which will further enhance the festival experience for the crowd.
With a harmonious festive environment, IMAGISTAGE is all set to vibrate the grounds of the Hornbill Festival and deliver an escapade of art, music, food, games and many more.
Art & culture dept announces events for Hornbill Festival
The Department of Art & Culture is all set for the Hornbill Festival 2024 with the theme “Cultural Connect” with the series of activities from December 1-10.
In Daily Cultural Performances (A Cultural Extravaganza) at the main arena, Kisama, 18 Cultural Troupes from within state will be arriving soon to showcase their lively folk dances & songs, indigenous games, demonstration of rituals and folk dramas etc. in their colorful traditional attires.
The Artists’ Corner/Art Fair at the World War-II Museum Premises, Kisama will feature Art Show, Transaction of Art, Artist Talk/Presentation, Art Pavilion Exhibition, Art Market & Artisan Boots, Art Demonstrations, Interactive Workshops, Art Installation, Art Battles and Cultural Art Show.
The Archives Branch will organize a Joint Exhibition with the National Archives of India, New Delhi titled “Naga-Land & People in Archival Mirror”.
Departmental publications based on research documentation, Monographs of historians, Dictionaries of some local communities, Naga Customary Practices and Usages, Archaeological Publications etc. will be available for book lovers in the Exhibition Hall at World War-II Complex.
A must visit place to see, understand and experience the historic event is the World War -II Museum, Kisama, where outstanding relics and artifacts are on display. The Museum will be opened to the public from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
The State Museum, Kohima, will be opened to all the public on all working days from 9:30 AM to 3:30 PM.
The Department of Art and Culture will organize the Artisans Corner at the World War – II Museum Complex to facilitate all the 18 tribes of Nagaland to demonstrate the skills in various indigenous arts and crafts making.
