4 stolen Royal Enfield bikes recovered

Dimapur, September 4 (MExN): The Dimapur Police has informed of the recovery of four stolen Royal Enfield bikes from the vicinity of Thilixu and Chekiye villages in Dimapur on September 1. A press release from the Dimapur Police informed that a truck bearing Regd No.NL07A-6980 loaded with salt, biscuits and chocolates with four Royal Enfield motorcycles was waylaid by 4 (four) miscreants in a white Maruti car at Bharat Petrol Pump, Dimapur on August 30. The truck was then taken to an isolated place and robbed. Later, a suo-moto case was registered at Diphupar Poice Station and the Dimapur Police acted swiftly to recover the four Royal Enfield bikes. Further investigation is on to nab those accused persons involved in the commission of the crime, the Police informed. Extortionist held The Anti Extortion Team Zone – I of Dimapur Police apprehended an extortionist on August 31 while collecting tax in the name of an underground faction at Murgipatti. The accused was identified as one Imugha Yetho (24 yrs). Cash amounting to Rs.4280 was seized from his possession and a case has been registered at Dimapur East Police Station, Police informed. 3 held under NLTP Act The Dimapur Police arrested three persons in separate incidents for sale and possession of Indian-made foreign liquor (IMFL). In the first incident, the Dimapur Police conducted a raid at DC Court Junction and Dhobinalla area on August 30 and recovered 98 bottles of IMFL from the possession of Gaurav Kumar (21 yrs), a resident of DC Court Junction area, Dimapur, and Mansid Tiru (55 yrs), a resident of Dhobinalla, Dimapur. Accordingly a case has been registered at Dimapur West Police Station and further investigation is on. In a separate incident, Dimapur Police personnel during routine frisking and checking duty at Chumukedima Check-Gate on September 1 recovered and seized 8 cases of illegal IMFL from the possession of Sechoba Sangtam (25 yrs). Accordingly the accused was arrested and a case registered at Diphupar Police Station.
