4th batch State Disaster Response Force training underway

Dimapur, April 9 (MExN): The 4th batch dedicated State Disaster Response Force training for the Home Guards, Civil Defence and State Disaster Response Force personnel began at Central Training Institute (CTI) in Toluvi, Dimapur on April 7.

118 personnel from all the districts will be undergoing the training for the next 30 days, Chief Instructor CTI Toluvi informed in a press release on Friday.

Earlier during the opening programme,  the Commandant General, L Bendang Lemtur, IPS stressed on the efficiency and capability of the trainers in order to bring out the best in the trainees. He also pointed out that the personnel should extend their training beyond the training period and continue practicing whatever they learn in order to respond effectively during emergencies. 

During the 30-day training duration, participants will be trained on topics covering Medical First Responder (MFR), Collapsed Structure Search & Rescue (CSSR), auxiliary fire fighting, ropes, knots and lashing, earthquake and landslide etc, the release added.
