Peren District Football Association (PDFA) Junior Football Club and Satakha FC (Zunheboto) registered win in their respective match at the ongoing 9th Capt Kenguruse Memorial Football Tournament at Indira Gandhi Stadium, Kohima.
Playing the first match of the day, PDFA Junior FC defeated Sungkomen PL FC by 2-0.
PDFA scored through Nrakhak in the 44th minute and Chidiheu in the 51st minute.
In the second match of the day, also the first quarter final, Satakha FC came from behind to beat Phek Town FC by 6-4.
Phek Town FC scored two early goals as Tshetsho scored the first within one minute of whistle and doubled it in the 13th minute.
Satakha found their first goal in the 15th minute through Tokibe but Veporayi increased the margin to 3-1 in the 30th minute. Punuvi scored the second goal for Satakha to end the first half trailing by a goal against Phek.
After the lemon break, Satakha returned strong with Aputo scoring the much needed equalizer in the 43rd minute while Punuvi scored his second and the lead for the team in the 46th minute. The 54th minute saw Tokibe adding his second and the fifth goal for Satakha while Aputo also scored his second and sixth for the team in the 61st minute.
Phek managed to add their fourth in the 68th minute through Kutosheyi but fell short of further goals.
