The grand finale of 9th Kohima Open Volleyball Tournament 2022 (Men & Women) under the aegis of Kohima District Volleyball Association (KDVA) will take place on November 12 at Indira Gandhi Stadium, Kohima.
 
Men category
In men category played here today, Waromung Sports Association, Mokokchung defeated St. Joseph’s College Jakhama with a straight set of 3-0.

Jorhat Volleyball Club, Assam defeated Khonoma Youth Organisation with a straight set of 3-0.

Kiruphema Youth Organization overpowered Waromung Sports Association, Mokokchung 3-2.

Vision Quest Club V.K Town, Zunheboto defeated Seven Brothers Kiruphema 3-2.

Michazou Mima defeated Kohima Science College Jotsoma with a straight of set 3-0.

BKK Kezo Town defeated Seven Brothers Kiruphema  3-1.
 
Women category
In women category, Senapati Sporting Club, Manipur defeated Sodinie Kidima in the first match with a straight of set 3-0.

St. Joseph’s College Jakhama defeated Jorhat Volleyball Club Assam 3-2.

Sodinie Kidima defeated Mystic Club Kohima with a straight set of 3-0.

Senapati Sporting Club Manipur will face Jorhat Volleyball Club Assam in the last league match (Women category) on November 12.

Grand finale, prize money
Meanwhile, Nagaland Building & Other Construction Workers’ Welfare Board (NBOCWWB) chairman Dr. Kekhrie Yhome will grace the closing function on November 12 at 12:00 noon.

The programme will be compered by Viwhekhonuo Vielie. Special number will be presented by Kevingunyii Mere.

Vote of thanks will be  proposed by KDVA secretary Neivikhotuo Vielie.

The champion in men category will be awarded with a cash prize of Rs. 70,000 while runner-up will receive Rs. 40,000.

Two loosing semi finalists will get Rs. 10,000 each.

Player of the tournament will be awarded with Rs. 3000

The champion in women category will get Rs. 40,000 while runner up will receive Rs. 20,000
