AR recovers IMFL, ammo in Wokha
Wokha, October 10 (MExN): Security forces reported the recovery of IMFL worth Rs 84,300 , ammunition and a fake rubber stamp of Chief Medical Officer, Wokha at Tsumang Colony, Wokha. A press release from the IGAR (N) stated that based on specific intelligence regarding illegal activities in general area Tsumang Colony, Wokha, security forces along with police representatives launched an operation and recovered two cases and four bottles of Magic Moment Vodka, six cases and nine bottles of MC Rum, one case and six cans, four bottles of OC Blue Whisky amounting to Rs 84,300. Five live rounds of .32 mm pistol along with a Chinese-made grenade and a fake rubber stamp of Chief Medical Officer of Wokha were also recovered. The recovered items were reportedly handed over to Wokha Police station.
Bakery sealed for 48 hrs in Kohima
Kohima, October 10 (MExN): TheDistrict Task Force (DTF) Kohima during its emergency meeting decided to seal Bright Bakery, Tinpati, Pezielietsie Colony with effect from October 9. Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kohima, Gregory Thejawelie notified that the decision was in view of the detection of a COVID-19 positive person, as per the guidelines on preventive measures to contain the spread of COVID-19 in workplace settings, a DIPR report informed. The bakery has been temporarily closed/shut for a period of 48 hours. Fumigation of the premises is being initiated, following all health safety measures and SOPs of the Government, it added. The sealed area has reportedly been mapped and cordoned off and the public and all concerned have been advised to follow all safety precautions to ensure public hygiene and personal safety within the proximity of the sealed area.
COVID-19 cases detected
in Jalukie, house sealed
Peren, October 10 (MExN): The DC Jalukie, Dr Tinojongshi Chang has notified that in view of the detection of COVID-19 positive persons through Rapid Antigen Test (RAT), a house in B Block, near Christian Church, Samziuram village under Jalukie Sub- Division has been sealed with effect from October 10 till further order. The sealing has been done in order to take preventive measures to contain the spread of COVID-19 as per the SOP issued by the government, a DIPR report stated. All the public and concerned individuals have been advised to follow all safety precautions, especially within the proximity of the sealed area. The ADC cautioned that any person violating the orders will be liable to be proceeded as per the provisions of section 51-60 of the Disaster Management Act, 2005 besides legal actions under section-188 of the IPC.
FGN discharges two from service
Dimapur, October 10 (MExN): The Federal Government of Nagaland (FGN)on Saturday informed that as per the decision taken by the Council of Kilonsers, FGN on September 28 and in accordance with the Naga Army Rules and Regulations' Chapter 14, Section 17 (a) and (b), Major General Dalung 2nd Bn 1st B'de W/C Naga Army has been discharged with immediate effect from the active membership of the national defence service on ground of money extortion and anti-national activities in Zeliangrong Region. In another order issued on October 10, the FGN discharged Col Gaibamlinang 2nd Bn 1st B'de W/C Naga Army from active service of the Naga Army on ground of extortion and anti-national activities in the Zeliangrong Region in accordance with Naga Army Rules and Regulations Chapter 14, Section 17 (B), with effect from October 2.
INTCWS to provide free career counseling
Dimapur, October 10 (MExN): The India Northeast Tribal Community Welfare Society (INTCWS) Notun Bosti, Dimapur under its Education Wing-Libra Consultancy has informed that the society will organize its 11th free career guidance and admission counseling at its office in D Block Kohima from October 13 to 16 (10: 00 am to 4:00 pm). It regretted that due the COVID-19 pandemic and subsequent lockdown, the annual 11th free career guidance and counseling which used to be held at Angami Students Union Office, Kohima could not be held this year. The counseling would be imparted while maintaining all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), it informed. Security forces apprehend
one 'arms manufacturer'
Peren, October 10 (MExN): An arms manufacturer was reportedly arrested by security forces in general area Mhaikam, Peren on October 9. Based on specific intelligence, security forces launched an operation and apprehended the individual, according to a press release from HQ IGAR (N) on Saturday. The troops also recovered one .22 Rifle (modified), two magazines, four live rounds, four empty cases and rifle accessories. The arrested individual along with recovered items was handed over to Jalukie Police Station, the release added.
