What type of “insult” is this writer, M.Dosopuwa, talking about ? He seems a very confused individual and talks about indefinite blockade as if it as an officially sanctioned act. How ignorant can one get ? The very idea that people who read his irrational and illogical piece will be influenced in the way he expects it to, with such a primitive and communal outlook, is indeed very outrageous. It is a criminal act of the highest degree and the writer of this article seems not have an iota of knowledge about a democracy. “ADC elections were rejected 20 years ago !!!” 20 years ago, there were none in the hills that had an idea about democracy. Their representatives fooled and just pocketed everything meant for their own constituencies and always blamed the Meiteis for these despicable acts of theirs. Let Mr. Dosopuwa name any MLA from the hills who has gone back to their homes and hills, during and after the end of their terms to develop their own constituencies.
Most of them hold patta lands in the valley, because they cannot own a piece of land in the hills, and enjoy a comfortable and luxurious life, at the expense of their own people and has the nerve of blaming it on the Meiteis. This is the height of duplicity and feigning ignorance about it, is the game they play all the time. Only when they seek reelection, they go back to their folds and start shouting anti Meitei rhetoric, just to garner votes. It is the height of foolishness to expect positive development in their home regions when such self centered and selfish representatives who have no leadership vision, hold office. Let it be known to one and all that, when everyone is moving forward, the Manipur hill region is moving backwards because their own representatives have failed them and not anyone else.
Let it be known to one and all that the hills people of Manipur, that are under the Tangkhul NSCN(IM) influence, are ignorant, illiterate and easily swayed by the power of the gun, which the Tangkhul NSCN(IM) does with ruthless efficiency and sadistic pleasure. It is not the Meiteis, but the Tangkhul NSCN(IM) hooligans, who terrorizes their own kith and kin to extract their pound of flesh. Stories of Tangkhul NSCN(IM) high handedness and instant justice, if one can ever call it justice, are abound in the hills of Kasom Khullen, Ukhrul Senapati, Chandel, etc. Many simple and unknowing hills people have reiterated time and again, that they are a terrorized lot, and they cannot open their mouths in the open, lest they are faced with imminent and immediate extermination. Muivah has only one and only thought in his despicable mind and that is to be a king of a no mans land, so called Nagalim, and the last and final obstacle are the Meiteis. He realizes this and has faced Meiteis’ resilience and obstinacy, many a times in the past, and now at present. It will be a very unwise for Muivah and the Tangkhul NSCN(IM) to disregard this stand of the Meiteis, as the later speaks and stand steadfastly, for a common good whereas the former seeks dismemberment and the initiation of Tangkhul hegemony. A Tangkhul will always consider a Mao or a Maram, an inferior tribal as compared to themselves, and they are themselves considered inferior to the main tribes of Nagaland. They know it because this became the reason for the violent upheavals and internecine killings that took place after the formation of the Tangkhul NSCN(IM), when Muivah was forced to leave the NNC. It is no secret that his own life was attempted several times. not by Meiteis but by other Nagas.
Why are all the highly vocal NGOs of the NH-39 region, ANSAM, UNC, NYF, to name just a few of the many, speak only about repression where there is none, and speak of human right violation when they are the ones that are the main violators ? It is a fact that their human rights is only about their demand and nothing else matters. Not even when they are strangulating the highways, which is not their God given property. It is just a few highly criminalized individuals and self appointed spokespersons that keep on ranting to justify their violent blockade act and hoping so very fervently for a Meitei retaliation, looking for a convenient way to lay the blame on the Meiteis, as the justification of their criminal misdeeds. They just act and parrot whatever the Tangkhul NSCN (IM) instructs them to do. The sorry and unfortunate incident at Mao, has now become the leverage to incite and force their primitive ideology to one and all in the hills, or face dire consequences. The Tangkhul NSCN (IM) can never be a democratic outfit, which makes all the more perplexing to everyone that they are talking about peace and the democratic system. The way they are portraying the highway blockade as a democratic form of protest, the next they will do is to kill and maim and call it a democratic response. It is an open secret that the Tangkhul NSCN (IM) will go the whole nine yards and more, to project and propagandize the Meitei as the oppressor, through expendable individuals like yourself.
