Anna Univ. to offer UG courses at all campuses Tamil Nadu government has announced introduction of undergraduate engineering courses in three zonal campuses of the city-headquartered state-run Anna University, a premier technical institute.   This was aimed at providing access to quality technical education at low cost to students from economically backward families, who scored high marks, Chief Minister K Palaniswami said, according to a PTI news agency.   Four UG courses will be introduced in the university's campuses in Tirunelveli, Madurai and Coimbatore.   He said presently the varsity was offering UG and PG courses in four of its city-based campuses, besides 13 unitary colleges across the state.   For more info check: https://www.annauniv.edu/   AUD announces admissions to UG courses The Ambedkar University of Delhi (AUD) has announced admissions to various undergraduate (UG) programmes at its Kashmere Gate campus and Karampura campus.   Online registrations for the programmes offered at its Kashmere Gate campus began today and on-campus registrations would start on May 28, a notification issued by the university said.   A PTI report informed that the registrations would close on June 23 and the first of the six cut-off list for the UG courses at the Kashmere Gate campus would be announced on July 9 and the final one on July 26.   “In case the seats remain vacant, the seventh or subsequent cut-off list, if any, will be announced on the website,” it added.   At the Karampura campus, online registration for all the Bachelor of Vocational Studies programmes (BVoc in Tourism and Hospitality, BVoc in Retail Management and BVoc in ECCME) began on May 22.   On-campus registrations will begin on May 28 and both modes of registration will close on June 23.   “On June 25, a list of the eligible applicants for the entrance examination to different BVoc programmes will be displayed and the exam will be held on June 27, from 10 am to 12 noon,” the notification said.   Interviews will be held on July 3, 4 and 5 and the first-admission list will be announced on July 9, with the fifth and final list scheduled to be out on July 21.   Registrations for UG programmes at the Karampura campus will start from the first week of June, the notification said.   For details check: http://aud.ac.in/index.html   DU receives 43,000 applicants on Day 1 The University of Delhi started accepting online applications for its undergraduate courses on May 15 and within 24 hours the varsity received over 43,000 applicants for various undergraduate courses according to The India Express.   The online registration for over 57,000 undergraduate will be done completely online and the varsity will conduct computer-based entrance tests for selected undergraduate, postgraduate and MPhil, PhD courses in almost 18 cities.   The Delhi University has a total of 90 colleges which are affiliated or recognised by the university and offer a wide range of courses. There are courses which are very popular among students, it added.   The application process for postgraduate programmes and the postgraduate diploma in cybersecurity and law and M.Phil/Ph.
