Adroit Boys (Sechü Zubza) today overpowered Tehok FC 1-0 in the inaugural match of the 9th edition of Captain N. Kengurüse (Mahavir Chakra) Memorial Football Tournament 2025 at Indira Gandhi Stadium, Kohima.
In an intense and evenly balanced encounter, Adroit Boys narrowly clinched a 1-0 victory over Tehok FC.
Both sides displayed strong tactical discipline, with Adroit Boys Sechü Zubza holding a slight edge in possession (51.96%) over Tehok FC (48.04%). The match was a showcase of determination rather than domination, as both teams registered nine shots on target each but it was the Adroit Boys who managed to make their efforts count.
The decisive moment came through a well-executed attack that broke the deadlock by Neikedozo of Adroit Boys in the 60th minute. Earlier, Roko Angami, Director of Coaches, NFA, administered oath to the 20 participating teams.
The tournament will continue till November 6.
