Anaemia camp held in Chümoukedima

Dimapur, September 17 (MExN): As part of the ongoing Poshan Maah celebration, ICDS Project Dimapur Rural organised an anaemia camp for adolescent girls and women in convergence with Health & FW and School Education at PHE Chümoukedima on September 16.
About 30 girl students from GMS Block IV and 20 pregnant and lactating mothers attended the camp where free anaemia screening and antenatal checkups were availed by them.
MO, Dr. Narola Toska spoke on prevention and treatment of anaemia. Sr. Supervisor ICDS Toto K. Sumi spoke on the importance of complementary feeding and exclusive breastfeeding of infants upto six months. Spot registration of Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana scheme for first time pregnancy was conducted by District coordinator for PMMVY Vizo Khanyo and Vherry Ezung at the venue and six beneficiaries were registered.
Vote of thanks was proposed by CDPO Dimapur Rural ICDS, Bonathung Ngullie where he thanked the line departments and staff involved and also asked the participants to avail every opportunity at the camp.
MO, incharge Dr L Chem and Dr Pelekuonuo AYUSH also attended the camp. Supervisors Dimapur Rural ICDS and Poshan Abhiyan Block coordinators were also present at the camp.
