Kohima, February 4: The All Nagaland College Students’ Union (ANCSU) strongly condemned the ‘inhuman/barbaric act’ towards the north east students in some parts of the nation now and then, not living aside even the state capital which is also considered to be the safest place for the people/citizens of India and even the tourist.
The Union asked the concern government authority and law enforcing agency in and around India were the students from the north east are frequently assaulted, molested and raped.
The Union firmly asked the people and the peace loving citizens of India whether if the north east also considered as Indian “ if yes” why are we being humiliated/deprived of our rights and the students from north east always felt sense of insecurity even in their own homeland/country (India).
Further, the Union urged the concerned government authority and law enforcing agencies to seriously look into the matter and take up positive and strict measures in bringing about sense of common brotherhood among the people especially the north east (people/citizen) living in various parts of the country which is also the homeland and the nation of the people.
This was stated in a release issued by ANCSU president Tsukjem Lkr and vice president Kito Achumi.
