Dimapur, November 5 (MExN): The Silver Jubilee Celebration of All Nagaland Private Schools’ Association (ANPSA) Dimapur Unit concluded on November 4 with a function held at the Holy Cross Hr Sec School Auditorium.
The heads of ANPSA member schools along with the ANPSA Central Executive members, Dimapur Unit Executive members, veteran members and invitees and family members converged at the venue to offer thanksgiving and celebrate the milestone achievement of ANPSA Dimapur.
The programme began with the invocation prayer offered by the Principal of Holy Cross Hr. Sec. School, Fr. Philip Magh which was followed by song and dance items presented by the students of member schools from all over Dimapur.
In his presidential address, Dr. Andrew Ahoto, President of ANPSA Dimapur Unit, spoke on the essence of giving rather than receiving while also expressing his gratitude to all the founding members including K Terhuja and Fr TO Sebastian for laying a strong foundation for the subsequent generations of ANPSA leaders to emulate.
According to him, “leaders, especially school administrators, should give more emphasis on the seeds from which an apple tree grows rather than the seeds inside an apple.” He was of the opinion that the future of private schools lay in the hands of the present leaders and therefore there should exist a healthy competition among the private schools so that everyone learns from each other thus leading to the growth and development of the private schools, educational fraternity and the student community.
Various other dignitaries and heads of schools spoke on the occasion including K. Terhuja, founder President of ANPSA Dimapur Unit and a veteran educationist.
The programme concluded with the vote of thanks proposed by the Principal of Great Commission Hr Sec School, Elizabeth Dozo and the Benediction pronounced by Sr. Benny Fernandez, Principal of Assisi Hr Sec School. The programme was followed by a dinner for all the Heads of ANPSA Member Schools, ANPSA Officials, invitee participants and family members.
