Applications invited for Governor’s Young Fellowship Program

Kohima, September 23 (MExN): The office of the Governor, Nagaland has called for applications from young graduates from diverse backgrounds and disciplines who are committed to addressing some of the most pressing developmental challenges facing Nagaland and to be a part of the Governor’s Young Fellowship Program.


“Applicants should be responsible, enthusiastic and enterprising young men and women, who are passionate about issues of development, public service and technology,” stated the press release issued by PRO to Governor.
The Governor’s Young Fellows will provide analytical and technical support in the formulation of policies to further Governor’s vision and development priorities for Nagaland.


The Governor’s Young Fellowship Program is designed to cultivate young leaders, strengthen their understanding of the public administration and prepare them for greater leadership roles in future. It will also provide Young Fellows the unique opportunity to interact with eminent government officials and knowledge institutions, besides engaging with leaders from the industry, art, literature and journalism to make the fellowship a rare and valuable experience. 


Applicants must be citizens of India and should hold either a Master’s Degree in Economics/Public Policy/Mass Communications or an outstanding Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering and associated fields. They should also have at least one year of work experience. 


“Remunerations of Rs.50000 per month will be provided to Young Fellows and will have to be stationed at Kohima,” it stated.  One can visit www.rajbhavan.nagaland.gov.in for further details on responsibilities, eligibility, terms and conditions and application progress for the programme.
