•- The Liden Semchir, Ilangtsur of Yaongyimsen village would like to express our gratitude and appreciation to Er. A. Atu Imsong, B.D.O, Mangolemba Block, and the R.D Block Office, Changtongya, Govt. of Nagaland for extending financial and technical support in constructing the innovative bamboo reinforced concrete rain water harvesting tanks. 16500 litres capacity water tanks were constructed for each household in the village.
Previously each household were spending incalculable precious time everyday in carrying drinking water over a very long distance on foot as there were no piped water supply. In the backdrop of this condition, the water tanks constructed has enabled each household to have sufficient water. They are also able to store the surplus rainwater collected for future use.
We want to make special mention of Er. A. Atu Imsong. This intervention has been possible only because of your love for our people and good planning. It has been one of the greatest development activities this village has seen in a long time. We praise God for the good work you have done for us.
