• IT is good to be optimistic, and so I say yes. Elections have destroyed naga moral integrity and have undermined the democratic values and principles our forefathers have honored over the ages. I like this poll question because it should help NBCC understand the ground realities on which they have set their foot. I am sure a lot of suggestions and criticisms will come to this. They should study each and every criticism and each and every suggestion. It is how they should respond. If this Clean Election Campaign is to be successful, the NBCC should focus more on the intending candidates, because they are the source from which money, alcohol, proxy votes, etc comes. Please remember it is not the people, but the candidates themselves that is causing the corruption. If NBCC focuses only on educating the masses, it will not help. Because the masses involves lakhs of people. Whereas the number of candidates will be only a few hundred and therefore easier to hold them accountable. NBCC should be strong enough to call all the intending candidates and start educating them and sensitizing them from today. This is the only answer we have within this short time if we are to succeed.
• It has been a long waited initiative from the church. Definitely it is going to have huge impact on the people in selecting the right person who leads by his action and not false promises. God bless NBCC!
• The NBCC has contributed greatly to the Naga people. No one can question that it has the best of intentions for the people. While I do not question its intentions, I must question the approaches and the strategy it sometimes initiate. I wish the NBCC would not just consult its associations, but would consult the people directly. Is this not the best form of democracy. So while one appreciates the Clean Election campaign, I wished it had consulted the Naga public so that they could become the force behind it. Top down approaches are no longer in vogue. There is still time for rectification so I hope the NBCC will take this in good spirits.
• This is a very positive step taken by NBCC but its just the clearning of the doorway. Every Christian regardless of denomination must support it and start cleaning our closets!
• It is always good that we put God first before any decision of our land, being a Christian dominated state.
• NBCC must also take to tasks the black sheeps in the flock who go to pray in different political party camps and peel money during elections. Common flocks shall naturally follow them.
• Yes! With the evil practices that are synonymous to election in Nagaland, somewhere, somebody has to take the initiative for reformation. And what better platform than the church to take the lead. maybe it is too early to come to a conclusion but a definite YES
• Yes, seek ye first the kingdom of God and his righteousness and all the things shall be added unto you. All of us memorized and sang this in Sunday school. Where, how and why have be nagas gone wrong.
• Yes! If NBCC itself consists of a body believers wholly committed to Christ and His glory as sanctified vessels useful for His purpose, doing it in His strength.
• Yes, I am optimistic that NBCC’s drive..will surely make a difference!
• Yes, absolutely. With the help of supporters.
• Yes, everything good starts with little steps we collectively decide to take. NBCC has been trying its best to bring positive changes that backfired till now. Hope they will succeed this time.
• Yeah! Very good! The optimism may come $ may not come through clean election. NBCC is good $ful of loves and its really good but I don’t one to appreciate on involvement of religious organization NBCC..the election is for the men who govern the land! And that’s their games $their business whether the election is clean or dirty, fair or unfair.
• NBCC has announced to remove a great non-Christian behavioural thorn in naga society. I wish the good shepherds of every denomination will lead by example from now onwards.
• The church has the best platform to affect change. But it must be persistent and courageous in her efforts.

• NBCC cannot make or bring miracle on this. It is the individual heart that need to change through Jesus Christ, where true changes will take place.
• No, money has so much impact on elections that just a mere campaign will be a lip service.
• What changes are we talking about here? When in-spite of the decade old alcohol prohibition. You still find alcohol in every nook and corner of the state. Bottom-line NBCC should mind their own business and not poke their nose in Politics.
• I am being a but pessimistic here but I don't see a positive outcome immediately. There are many reasons behind electing a legislator of which money is one priority. It's something like 'I'll gather votes for you provided you look after me in the next five years!' AND I am not a shit interested in politics!!!
• The church elders will take whatever is needed in advance and will be voiceless during the time election comes.
• Church body should not interfere in poll as it has nothing to do with the election commission of India.
• No never in my dreams.
• Church, which runs like a business firm, depends on corrupt politicians for donations. NBCC has to clean itself first and then go for the campaign. Stop giving special treatments to VIPs inside the CHURCH.
• No. To be precise, religion is something spiritual and this particular spiritual thing is directly related to an individual and his/ her god. It's the mutual understanding/ relation between them and no man can infringe their right or use force whatever, to destabilize that personal link. It depends on the individual, to choose... Therefore, unless all those 99+1 members, equal in everything, decides for the motion spiritually, it is plain vanity. Our personal relations with our gods differ and so also our lives, and, to think that everybody endorses a plan, goal, etc. outwardly is sane because one doesn't have access to the inner thoughts of others. Of course, people may, for a short time, literally agree or show willingness just for the sake of being in the group but, that's never wholehearted and so, is always short lived. Forgive if am wrong, but i see our church is on the wrong, high wall now, without vital knowledge of every individual who form the basic foundation.
• Are you kidding? They have miserably failed the dry state issue. Thou have reserved sates for VIP in the jubilee cause they have accepted 50 lakhs from them.
• No, it wont make any difference. Most of our shepherds are ‘Dr Jykl and Mr Hyde.’ Mere campaign wont help. The candidates and so called agents all members of the church should first be aware of the dos and donts, then the elders, youths should follow. All politics! It’s a shame to come across reverends overactive playing dirty politics. Green Jesus became a popular name in Kohima during last elections.
• Forgive me for being pessimistic, even if NBCC goes for election campaign it wont make any difference unless the members themselves promise God that they will honestly work to reform the system it will be a futile exercise for lo and behold many Revs, Pastors, Deacons and Deaconess are waiting for the day when our monster politicians will share their loot, so lets just wait and watch the drama.
• No, I am not buying this one. As evident this default babus are the lieutenants of the capitalist class, the real carriers of spreading false hope. If they were earnest about the changes, then they ought to explain to the masses “the necessity of breaking with opportunism, to educate them for struggle against opportunism and to unmask the hideousness of politics and not to cover them up.” The worsening political conditions, corruption of some of the giant public departments, all the endless incurable crisis, resulting ultimately for redivision of the society, are they forgetting all this to be left to others, if not for them to rise up to this challenging tasks. Remember a day will come when its time for churches role to go! So when you (church members) still got the chances, try to utilize it, before it goes out of hand.

• Ummmmm… if the people in the grassroot level are thoroughly reached…..but again, even the well informed and educated nagas believe that money is the ultimate. So I think as long as faith and trust in money is stronger than the faith in our God almighty, its gonna be hard for a clean election. Once election season approaches, even the most lazy good for nothing people get energized and starts talking big things expecting to earn easy money. Actually, it is the responsibility of the intending candidates and the leaders working under them not to succumb to such pressures but work with the right principles and even educate their campaign about the benefit of electing a good leader with the right principle without corruption and money power. I think the church/NBCC must first educate this right principle to all the intending candidates for the coming election and together along with all the civil societies, every naga individual should be reached. That way we can expect a change. Otherwise everyone knows and even says to ourselves that we are all corrupt from top to bottom all because of money…nothing else. So to me its not really ‘Yes’ but I hope and pray that this campaign brings about a big change even in our so called 100% Christian state.
• They should be exclusively shepherding not campaigning, by the way maybe this has nothing to do with the topic at hand but i was just wondering if,' poor as the church mouse' still relevant.
• Hope it work if we d people truly n nbcc in particular work honestly n pray sincerely. GOD Has nothing to prove if we truly trust Him.
• I need to see their benchmark and some metrix; what and how and when or mere words will decay and will leave no mark
