DIMAPUR, MARCH 27 (MExN): The Annual Sports day of Assisi Hr. Sec. School, Dimapur was held on March 27 at the School premises. A press note informed that Ahoto Andrew, Chairman LFHSS, Vice – Chairman YMCA North – East & President ANPSA Dimapur Unit was the Chief Guest. Rev Sr Milly Fernandes, Provincial Superior, NorthEast province graced the occasion as the guest of honour.
Speaking on the occasion, Ahoto congratulated the school for its effort in putting up the programme and said, “Sports days are cherished by the students for lifetime”. He motivated the students to be good listeners and said, “Listening is a part of knowledge and you can gain wisdom by listening.”
Under the supervision of the Principal, the teachers and students worked together to make the sports week a success. Highlights of the day included March Past, Drill display, Choreography and Action song by the students. Some of the events of the day were Frog race & Rabbit race by LKG children, Bamboo Race & Obstacle race by juniors and Relay race by the seniors.
