ATMA train farmers on mushroom cultivation and kitchen

Kiphire, November 12 (MExN): Agricultural Technology Management Agency (ATMA) Longmatra block in collaboration with Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK) Kiphire organized training on mushroom cultivation and kitchen gardening on November 10 and 12 at Tutheze and Sanphure village.   The programme started with a brief introduction on Krishi Kalyan Abhiyan and the importance of farmer participation in any development programme taken up by government in achieving double and sustainable livelihood. Resource person, Imnawati (ATM), ATMA Longmatra block trained farmers on mushroom cultivation and its process for better living and uplifting their standard. On the second day, Tsungrozen (ATM), ATMA Longmatra block spoke about kitchen gardening and encouraged them to find ways to generate more income for providing daily food and improving their economy.   The programme was followed by an interaction session between the farmers and the officials. A total of 55 farmers attended the training programme where mushroom spawns and vegetable seeds were distributed.
