DIMAPUR, SEPTEMBER 13 (MExN): Along with the rest of the country, Ayushman Bhavah was launched in the districts of Kohima, Dimapur, Mon, Longleng, Zunheboto and Phek on September 13. The Ayushman Bhavah campaign will begin from September 17 and continue till October 2, a DIPR report stated.
In Kohima, ADC Rhosietho Nguori launched the Ayushman Bhavah at NHAK, Kohima.
Stressing on the importance of health issues, Ngouri said we need a collective approach to propagate and spread the message of health issues and its relation with diet and a balanced lifestyle.
Nguori also called upon all the stakeholders, churches and NGO’s to reach this mission to everyone and to the remotest part of the state through all levels and make the mission a successful one.
Chairperson and MD, NHAK Dr Sendimeren Aonok highlighted the scheme of Ayushman Bhava. He said that the campaign aims to ensure optimum delivery of health schemes to intended beneficiaries, especially in remote areas and for people belonging to economically weaker sections.
He added that, there are three major components of the Ayushman Bhavah campaign- the distribution of Ayushman cards or ‘Ayushman Apke Dwar 3.0,’ a health campaign called ‘Ayushman Mela,’ and awareness meetings like ‘Ayushman Sabha.’ These programmes are aimed to enhance healthcare accessibility and raise health awareness across the nation.
On the occasion, the NHAK also felicitated Professor Kavitoli from Mount Olive College who has been donating her blood for the ninth time and still intending to donate more.

In Dimapur, Deputy Commissioner Sachin Jaiswal launched the Ayushman Bhavah at District Hospital Dimapur.
During the launching ceremony, Jaiswal stated that Ayushman Bhavah is a form of blessing which includes health and overall wellness.
He stated that under Ayushman Bhavah, organ donation and blood donation are some of the important components that encourage the public to donate their organs and blood. He further stated that due to the increase in dengue cases in the district, the demand for blood has increased, and this launching has come in a crucial time where awareness on blood donation and encouraging more people to come forward and donate blood can be intensified. He also urged allied departments and civil societies to support the campaign. Jaiswal also lead the participants in taking the ‘Organ Donation Pledge’ while launching the campaign.
Dr Antoly Suu, Dy. Chief Medical Officer Dimapur presented the keynotes on Ayushman Bhavah. During the launching programme, NIKSHAY Mitras were also felicitated and testimonies were also shared by TB Champion and Ayushman Bharat health Insurance beneficiaries. Blood donors were also felicitated, a DIPR report said.
In Longleng, the District Health Society launched Ayushman Bhavah at the District Hospital Longleng. During the short launching program, Dr Tiasunep CMO, Longleng delivered the welcome address and gave an overview about the launch and highlighted its aims and objectives. He further stated that the program is being implemented in order to reach out to people and to avail health services.

The launching program was also attended by S Chingmei Konyak EAC Longleng, Dr Imnameren Phom DPO (RCH/UIP), Dr Kerisunu Sakhrie, Senior Specialist, Phomla Hoichem and CMO staff.
In Phek, the campaign was officially launched at Dr Wethselo T. Mero Memorial hall, District Hospital by Kuko Mero Deputy Commissioner, Phek.
Various activities to be carried out during the campaign in all the CHCs and health & wellness centres were highlighted by Dr Pewezo Khalo, DPO RCH/UIP.

At the launching program, a short briefing on Nikshay Mitra was delivered by Dr Chukhusie DTO and acknowledgement of highest Nikshay Mitra supporter was awarded to MLA Kuzholuzo Azo Nienu.
The program was attended by DPOs, ward chairmen, NGOs, doctors, nurses and staff of CMO & DH.
In Mon, Ayushman Bhavah was launched by Deputy Commissioner Ajit Kumar Verma, at DH Mon. Dr Tinenlo James Katiwa DTO in his keynote address gave a detail on the three major components of various health care schemes under the campaign. On behalf of the District TB cell, Dr Tinenlo acknowledged one of the best Nikshay Mitra, P Wangngam Konyak for his support to TB patients.
During the launching, DC Verma said that the word Ayushman Bhavah means ‘live long.’ Elaborating the meaning, he said that the programme is all about reminding us to live a healthy lifestyle. On the occasion, a pledge was taken by all the participants on organ donation.
The programme was attended by medical authorities, administration, social welfare department, Konyak Union, KNSK, Konyak Student Union, Prathima foundation and representatives of the wards of Mon town.

In Zunheboto, Ayushman Bhavah was launched at District Hospital conference hall with Deputy Commissioner Rahul Bhanudas Mali as the special guest.
The guest of honour in his speech stated that the main objective about this campaign is to take significant importance in our health care which is an umbrella initiative for enhanced awareness about various health care schemes and to saturate critical health care services in rural and urban areas.
Dr K Akaho Sema, Dy. CMO his keynote address stated that the Ayushman Bhavah campaign which will commence from September 17 will be observed across all health units to create awareness to the general public especially in the grassroots level about various health services and schemes which be beneficial for the public in general. He encouraged the health workers to deliver health talk as well in every health facilities.
