The Patkai Christian College (Autonomous) Badminton Club organised the Badminton Coaching Camp 2024 from August 20-30 at the college’s Dr. H. Ibotombi Singh Stadium.
The primary objective of the camp was to identify budding talent among the students and provide them with foundational training, informed Limasanen Imsong, Advisor of the Patkai Badminton Club. Over the course of two weeks, 22 students, many of whom were beginners, participated in the camp. Some students started without even knowing how to hold a racket, but by the end of the training, they had developed essential techniques and skills in badminton, the Advisor said.
He also expressed satisfaction with the camp’s progress, stating that the students showed significant improvement, especially those new to the sport. The camp concluded with exhibition matches among the participants, which included faculty and staff. Started last year, the Patkai Badminton Club aims to continue such training annually.
