BASN presents online selfie contest, ramp walk contest

Kohima, July 7 (MExN): The Beauty & Aesthetics Society of Nagaland (BASN) is presenting series of events like Beauty with a purpose, online selfie contest and ramp walk contest.

“The Covid 19 pandemic has affected people from all walks of life and has dramatically brought all activities to a standstill, we are all trying to adapt and keep our minds engaged,” stated BASN.

BASN believes that every contribution during this pandemic is worthwhile and therefore, to create more awareness about the current situation and to spread positivity in this trying times BASN is making a small effort by collaborating with Task Force for Music & Arts (TaFMA) and Nagaland State Disaster Management Authority (NSDMA) and initiating three activities for the month of July- Beauty with a Purpose (BWAP), online selfie contest and ramp walk contest under the theme ‘Safety is a Race.’
 
Beauty with a purpose

Keeping in mind the ideal Beauty with a Purpose (BWAP) and the various humanitarian objectives of the society, the BASN in partnership with TaFMA and Nagaland State Disaster Management Authority will be initiating a BWAP project.

The project will involve the former beauty queens and contestants from across the state with an aim to reach out to those in need. It will be documented and shared in various media platforms.
 
Online Selfie Contest

Participants will have to click and upload a selfie with a positive Covid message on Instagram; may use props like T-shirts, caps, mask or other creative mediums to highlight their message; solely judged on their creativity and message; have to follow and tag BASN, TAFMA and NSDMA using the hashtags # on Instagram; and have to use the hashtags #safetyselfienagaland and #BASN.
 
Rampwalk Contest

Participants will have to post an Instagram reel of their best ramp walk with a positive COVID message.

Participants are required to give a short introduction with their name, age and height in the description.

They have to follow and tag BASN, TAFMA and NSDMA using the hashtags # on Instagram and also have to use hashtag #walkforsafetynagaland #BASN.

All Naga girls age between 18-27 are eligible to participate in the ramp walk contest.

Participants are required to wear sleeveless top (Black/White), hot pants and stilettos (avoid block heels).

The last date of submission is July 16 for the online selfie contest and July 25 for the ramp walk contest.

The contests will be judged by a panel of jury and winners for the online selfie contest will be judged according to the creativity of the picture and not on the number of likes.
