KOHIMA, MAY 5 (MExN): Phek Government College observed its 41st annual parting social on Friday with Phek Deputy Commissioner, John Tsulise Sangtam as the guest of honour. Addressing the gathering, DC maintained that college is just a gateway to the real world and that one has to fight their own battle in this competitive world.
“One should be determined, ascertain oneself and find one’s own self,” he said. He wished the outgoing students to cross the gate successfully with hard work and to make the college proud. DC also reminded the students that success may be delayed, but determination and hard work will surely bring success one day.
The programme was chaired by Shetsolu Keyho, BA 2 Semester while Dr T Tiakaba Jamir, Principal PGC, delivered welcome address. Phek Town Chakhesang Students Union president Vezovo Rhakho shared greetings. Khrushehu Hoshi, Former Vice President of PGCSU and Vepoto Dozo, CR BA 6th Semester, spoke on behalf of the outgoing students. Veluhu Neinu and the Department of Economics gave special performances. Rayi Veswu, Vice President of PGCSU proposed vote of thanks. The second session showcased a variety of talents and performances by the students.
