Biannual Dimapur TOLIC meet held at ARTC & S

Dimapur, September 8 (MExN): The second biannual meeting of Dimapur TOLIC (Town Official Language Implementation Committee) was held at ARTC & S, Dimapur under the chairmanship of Brigadier Arjun Segan, SM**, Commandant ARTC & S on September 6.
54 members of central government offices situated in Dimapur attended the meet. Lt Col Bhavana Sharma, Secretary, TOLIC welcomed all members, while a detailed brief on various aspects of the meet was given by Hav Abhishek, ARTC & S.
Member representatives of various government offices presented their reports on the progress on implementation of Hindi in their sectors/departments.
After analyzing the progress on implementation of Hindi in central government offices in Dimapur, Brig Segan stressed upon the importance of progressive use of Hindi and requested all members to implement the policies issued by the Government of India regarding publicity and implementation of the official language policy.
The chairman also spoke about motivational measures which can be incorporated for implementation of Hindi by means of incentives and appreciation in all central government offices.
Speaking on the occasion, the chairman applauded the efforts of the members of TOLIC Dimapur for their continuous efforts towards wide publicity of the official language. The importance of progressive use of Hindi in central government offices were highlighted.
In order to enhance the spirit of healthy competition amongst central government offices, a ‘TOLIC Shield’ has been introduced, in which offices are adjudged as first, second and third based on their efforts to implement the Official Language Policy.
The rolling TOLIC trophy (2018-19) was bagged by Office of the Chief Engineer, Sewak Project while Central Bank of India, Dimapur Branch & Food Corp of India, Regional Office, Dimapur were awarded second and third positions respectively.
Food Corp of India, District Office, Dimapur, Deputy Inspector General, CRPF, Khatkhati Range, Cement Corporation of India, Bokajan, Deputy Inspector General, Group Centre CRPF, Khatkhati and Central School Dimapur were also given commendation certificates for their good work in the field of official language implementation.
In the end, valuable suggestions and feedback points were invited by the Secretary, Lt Col Bhavana Sharma and the same were discussed in the meet.
