Dimapur, November 22 (MExN): Four states boards, including Nagaland, may delay their exams due to assembly elections next year. State Boards of Meghalaya, Tripura, Nagaland and Karnataka are waiting for the poll dates to be declared in order to schedule the class 10, 12 board exams accordingly, the Times of India reported. The governments in the four states are completing their term in March 2018, the time when the board exams are usually conducted. Along with state boards, CBSE and CISCE boards are also waiting for the election dates in order to decide the exam dates. The time table of the board exams can be checked at the official websites of the Board, as and when they are declared, it added. ‘We are waiting for the EC to declare the poll dates so that we can release our dates accordingly,’ Gerry Arathoon, Chief Executive and Secretary, CISCE, said to TOI. CBSE, too, according to sources, has been waiting for the election schedule to avoid any clash in dates, the report said.
