Business Association of Nagas held its annual general meeting at Espace, Duncan Bosti, Dimapur on February 28.

Dimapur, February 28 (MExN): The Business Association of Nagas (BAN) during its annual general meeting held at Espace, Duncan Bosti, Dimapur on February 28, re-elected L Mongkum Jamir, as the President for a second tenure. The other office bearers for (2025-2027) include Vice Presidents: Zubeno Mozhui (Women); Benthungo Kithan (State); Colo Mero (National); and Inoto Kinimi (International). The Executive Council of 14 members; Governing Council of four members; and four Advisors were elected.
In the presidential address, L Mongkum Jamir outlined the vision for the next three years, emphasising business enablement, financial access, policy advocacy, rural entrepreneurship, and the creation of a structured business ecosystem. He reiterated BAN’s commitment to aligning with India’s Viksit Bharat vision, aiming for economic self-sufficiency, industrialization, and global business expansion, stated a press release received here.
In his keynote address, Kvulo Lorin Chairman, NIDC and also Director, Tetso College, urged the Naga business community to expand beyond local markets and compete at national and global levels. He emphasized the need for digital transformation, financial literacy, and sustainable business growth, encouraging entrepreneurs to adopt technology-driven solutions, structured financial planning, and global business strategies.
He highlighted the importance of collaboration over competition, urging businesses to form alliances for greater market reach. Recognizing BAN’s role in shaping the entrepreneurial ecosystem, he encouraged the association to take a proactive approach in policy advocacy and investment facilitation.
BAN in its press release said that the discussions and deliberations underscored the urgent need to expand market reach, embrace digital transformation, and build a robust business ecosystem that empowers local entrepreneurs while positioning Nagaland as a key player in national and international trade.
