Dimapur, June 4 (MExN): The Care-Centre for Environment and Rural Poor (C-Cerp) with a cluster of 30 schools under its Green Heritage Club conducted a series of competitions on the theme ‘Ecological Balance’ where about 151 members under Green Heritage Club took part in the competition on May 19 last and the result of which was declared today in commemoration of the World Environment Day which falls on May 5.
A press release received here form the C-Cerp stated that the competitions were held under five categories; Essay, Poetry, Painting/Drawing and Photography at two levels; I and II in which altogether Seventeen schools took part in the competition. Selection of the entries was held on June 4, 2007.
Winners from 20 Schools of Green Heritage Club under Dimapur and Peren Districts,
Level I (Class V, VI, VII) are; (in term of first, seconf and third respectively for all categories)
Essay- Ngulmingthang from S.F.S school Mezhephima, Chamao Chithron of Livingstones Hr. Sec. Dimapur and Lika from Pilgrim School Dimapur.
Poetry: Meloni Chopi of Pilgrim School, Dimapur, Akaito Kiba of Shaloom Mission School. Doyapur and Rangmaide Hojai
Drawing/ Painting: Bautok from Bethesda School Dimapur, Salangdangba from Pilgrim School Dimapur and Lomba from Bethesda School Dimapur.
Photography: Anamika Pulukdar from L. F. Hr. Sec. School Dimapur, Marcia Sekhose from L. F. Hr. Sec. School Dimapur and Samuel Murry from Bethesda School Dimapur Level II (Class VIII, IX, X)

Drawing/ Painting: Katutlung from Govt. high School Doyapur, Shikupu Asumi from Little Star School Dimapur and Ringmei from Govt. High School Jalukie.
The release stated that all the Green Heritage Club members who participated in the competitions will be awarded certificates during the Second Annual Meet 2007 of the Green Heritage Club and added that the winners will be taken for a Nature’s Camp to get a feel of nature and to make the students understand the importance of ecological balance, the dates of which will be intimated to the respective schools sometime later.
The C-Cerp also thanked and congratulated all the winners and participants for their genuine effort and participation and looked forward for their cooperation in the future.
The release also thanked all the schools and teachers and especially thanked Holy Cross School, St. Francis De Sales School, Medziphema, Shalom Mission School, Doyapur and St. Xavier Hr. Sec. School, Jalukie for providing the classrooms during the competition event.
