Samvidhan LIVE – The Jagrik Project, an initiative of Commutiny the Youth Collective (CYC), is a journey to engage young Jagriks (Jagruk Nagrik - Aware Citizens) between the ages of 16 and 30 years in different parts of the country to experience the constitution. “We believe ownership of common spaces is a crying need of the hour. Ownership cannot be given in classrooms. It has to be taken on the streets…Through this public initiative (The Jagrik Project), young people will experience how the rights and duties in our constitution are being lived, and report back their experiences to rest of the world,” the release stated.

In Dimapur, CAN Youth is a partner for the two-month long campaign and is engaging 24 young people to involve in different activities and tasks on fundamental duties and fundamental rights along with conducting survey with the community.

CAN Youth has also invited youth of Dimapur, social workers, college and higher secondary school students to take part in the Common Action Day on January 18 at DBDL Hall, Don Bosco Higher Secondary School campus, Dimapur from 1:00 to 3:00 pm, where there will be a panel discussion on the topic ‘Role of youth participation in understanding and making our constitution come alive.’
