Capital college wins Inter-Collegiate Debate Competition

The participants with the Judges, Critic, Principal and faculty of Sazolie College.

 

KOHIMA, SEPTEMBER 22 (MExN): Kazia from Capital College won the 14th Inter-Collegiate Debate Competition organized by Sazolie College on September 21 on the topic, ‘The Education System in Nagaland is Relevant.’
The motion bench won the competition with 1,299 points against the opposition bench with 1,264 points.


The first position was bagged by Kazia from Capital College; second position Seyiekruonuo from St. Josephs College; and third position Ningtoulung, Tetso College. 


Consolation prizes were awarded to Chongboi, Modern College; Pushow Chuba, Kohima College; Tisen Kath, Sazolie College; Ruyota Thira, Sazolie College; and Seigoulun, Shalom Bible Seminary. 


The panel of judges were Bideno Kikon, Christian Education Secretary, NBCC; Er Theruovituo Pienyu, SDO Nagaland Public Works Department; and Dr Bijano Murry, Principal, Dr Neilahouzhukire Govt Hr Sec School. Dr Anungla Aier retired Director, Directorate of Higher Education, Kohima, was the critic. 


15 colleges participated in the competition. The program was chaired by Kesolu-ü, Asst Professor, Department of English and Moderated by Dr Narola Dangti, HoD, Department of English.
