Kohima, November 14 (MExN): The 6th edition of Capt. N. Kenguruse Memorial Football Tournament 2022 will start from November 15 at Indira Gandhi Stadium, Kohima.
Maj. Gen. Vikas Lakhera, SM, Inspector General Assam Rifles (N) will grace the opening ceremony as the chief guest at 3:30 PM.
Tehoc FC (Mon) will face Aphuyemi FC (Zunheboto) in the inaugural match.
The tournament is organised by Assam Rifles in association with Nagaland Football Association.
The tournament will continue till November 23.
The champion will fetch a cash prize of Rs. 2 lakh while runner up will receive Rs. 1 lakh.
The 3rd and 4th place winners will get Rs. 50,000 and Rs. 25,000 respectively.
There will also be individual prizes like golden boot, best goal keeper, best midfielder, best defender etc.
