Riding on the back of two consecutive wins, Nizams were a confident lot and started off the match in pretty much dominating fashion. But some resolute defending from STAFAC players saw Nizams – who were also guilty of wasting plenty chances – being frustrated. The deadlock got finally broken late in the match when Pito’s attempt at goal deflected into the back of the net enabling Nizams’ to a perfect record of three wins from three outings. Defending champions Trinity Sporting were dealt a scare by Teammate but held on for a 3-2 win. Trinity took the lead by pumping in 3 goals inside the first half. Lipok opened the scoring in the 13th minute before Lanusubo doubled the lead 9 minutes later through a long range shot. Imtiyanger would make it 3-0 minutes before half time. Teammate came back strongly after the break and managed to score two goals in the space of 9 minutes through Tsukjem and Aosanen. However, Trinity dug deep to hold on for three points. In the other matches, Case FC edged Natak FC 2-1 while G Sports returned to winning ways by defeating Super Strikers 4-2. Kaisu opened the scoring for Case FC before Mesevito Terhujah equalised in the second half for Natak. Mesevito would go on to miss a penalty which ultimately proved costly as his teammate Rinsit conceded a penalty while defending late in the game. Akum stepped up to take the spot kick and made no mistake in slotting the ball home as Case FC jumped to 6 points – equal with defending champions Trinity Sporting. G Sports rendered Super Strikers their third consecutive defeat courtesy a brace from Kevi and another goal each from Shitopong and Rokozuoto. Ruopfuvituo scored two goals for Super Strikers. The win lifted G-Sports to 4 points – level with Natak FC and Teammate.
