Chart of Ao Naga Learning alphabets released

Changtongya, February 27 (MExN): With the aim to preserve one’s own mother tongue, the Arju Tsuki-Bachelors’ Dormitory, on February 23, released a chart of Ao Naga learning alphabets titled “Ao ABCD Nüngjalok”. The chart also has transcriptions on it making it easy for readers to pronounce them.

The launch programme was held without any chief guests with the objective to do away with ‘VIP culture,’ according to a press release on Sunday. It also said that the same was practiced while inaugurating the Nüngoreju (morung) and indigenous wild fruits farm, and the practice will continue in the future, as the organisation works and maintain to be a self-reliant group.

The NGO acknowledged the Ao Senden Literature Board (ASLB) for allowing them to publish the chart after an in-depth read through and corrections on the works done. It is vision that this will help in the progress of preserving the Ao language, the release stated.

In this chart, the bird Fifi, the flower Quishinaro and X ray were added as it is from the Ao textbooks published by ASLB (2009), it said. 

‘It is hopeful that it will be benefited especially the children in learning Ao language, said Sentirenba (Founder and Director) on behalf of the editorial board of the NGO,’ the press release stated.
