MON, JUNE 11 (MExN): MLA from 45th A/C Tehok, CL John held a meeting on awareness and preparedness strategy on COVID-19 with officers of Chen Hq CASU and Konyak Union Chen Branch President at SDO Civil complex Chen Town on June 10.
A DIPR report informed that the MLA called upon the gathering not to panic and at the same time not to take the virus lightly. He urged the people to strictly follow guidelines like social distancing, wearing mask and wash hand regularly. He further urged the people to cooperate with the authorities in containing the pandemic.
BDO, Yae-i, who is also the official incharge of three Quarantine Centres in Chen town, said that despite all shortcomings in transportation and communication, the three Quarantine centres have been set up with minimum basic facilities.
The meeting was chaired by SDO (C) Chen Samuel Konyak. He said that till now there is no COVID-19 case in Chen area. The chairperson acknowledged Chen Town Students’ Union and public for their initiative and helping in constructing fencing in all three Quarantine Centres at Chen Town and Chenwetnyu Village for contributing one bamboo each by every household for quarantine centre.
He also appreciated all officers of Chen Hq. for voluntarily contributing monetary help for constructing three toilets, water connections and their storages, pits for wastes, power connections and other basic amenities in QCs along with concerned departments.
