Chiechama & Sendenyu villages strengthen bond

Kohima, May 3 (MExN): Considering the good relations between Chiechama of Kohima district and Sendenyu village of Tseminyu district a joint meeting of the village councils of the two villages was held at Chiechama on May 3. During the meeting it resolved that this relation between the two entities will be strengthened and revived for now onwards.

The good relations between the two villages have “prevailed since time immemorial and which have been attested by oral history which clearly mentions of marital relations and extension of food grains in difficult times.”

It also resolved that token gift shall be exchanged on regular basis every five years between the two villages.

This was stated by Chiechama village council chairman Mhalezolie Metha and Sendenyu Village Council chairman Rushvuyhun Bukh.
