DIMAPUR, MARCH 27 (MExN): Cornerstone higher secondary school, Dimapur started their school Annual Sports Week on the March 26. A press note informed that it will be held till March 28. The chief guest for the opening ceremony was Watichuchang Jamir, Additional Superintendent of police, Dimapur.
The programme was hosted by Moasenla pongen, Asst. Teacher; invocation prayer was said by Yanger, warden, boys hostel followed by unfurling of flag by the chief guest.
Sentisanglala Imsong, Principal CSHSS delivered the welcome speech. A colorful drill was displayed by the lower sections. Temsu, Asst. Teacher, along with the boy hostellers enthralled the school with a special number. The chief guest exhorted the management, faculty and students for their hardwork and impressive preparation of the programme.
As an alumni of the school, he recalled fond memories of his short duration as a student of CSHSS. He encouraged the students to have determination and inculcate values and characters to achieve success in life. He also exhorted the students to develop talent through discipline and hardwork, utilize, time, talent and strength to make the school as one of the best educational institution in Nagaland.
He urged the students to discover oneself through sports and not just take it as a mere calendar activities but to continue the spirit of sportsmanship in all fields of life. Oath administration was done by the sports secretary and kick off was done by the chief guest.
