COVID-19 cases in Nagaland crossed the 200-mark as 3 new cases were reported on June 20, taking the state’s tally of cases to 201. Out of the three cases, 2 patients were from Kohima Quarantine Centre (QC) while one was from Dimapur QC.
As per the severity of symptoms, all the 63 active cases are asymptomatic, Principal Secretary, Home Shahnavas C said in the daily briefing on COVID-19, according to a DIPR report.
However, the number of recoveries continued to surpass the number of active cases. On Saturday evening, 13 more recoveries were reported by the Directorate of Health and family Welfare. State Health Minister S Pangnyu Phom took to Twitter to inform that 13 patients had tested negative of COVID-19 in their second test. 11 were from Dimapur and 2 were from Kohima, according to his tweet.
Following these reports, the state’s total recovery stood at 138, registering a recovery rate of 68.65%.
As of 4:00 pm on Saturday, a total of 8, 921 samples have been tested. Results of 7292 samples have been received and results of 1,629 samples are awaited.
