Create space to work out solution: APO advisory body

DIMAPUR, JANUARY 19 (MExN): Members of the Angami Public Organisation (APO), advisory body while acknowledging that the issue of women’s reservation has created a crisis of highly-charged emotions, stressed that “space must be created at all cost at this critical juncture to enable our society to work out solutions to our pressing problems so that our difficulties will make us stronger rather than weaker.”  

A joint statement by Convener Vipralhou Kesiezie, Secretary Zeneituo Yano, Dr Dietho-o Yhoshü, Dr Seyiekietuo Ziephrü, Ketholeho Kulnu, Krurovi Peseyie, Rovigwelhu Chüsi, Niketu Iralu and Abi Yalie stated: “Our society emerging from our traditional past is responding to an issue it has never faced before. We should not be surprised our responses have produced differences and dangerous tension.” CLICK HERE

  Naga society, it maintained, “has to evolve the solution that will serve us best as we progress along.” This, it added would happen “if the sound growth of our society is more important to us than lesser agendas.”   AYO reiterates  warning to excommunicated candidates The Angami Youth Organisation (AYO) has meanwhile reiterated its warning to excommunicated candidates from any part of Nagaland related to town and municipal elections against taking refuge in Angami areas of Dimapur and Kohima.   A press note from the AYO added that “any family or house owner in the Angami areas detected harbouring these negative characters under their roof currently or gets reported to have being doing so even at a later date will be held accountable and viewed seriously.” CLICK HERE

AYO hopes current imbroglio is resolved collectively

  It hoped that the current imbroglio would be resolved “collectively by our Naga elders, our legal luminaries, our intellectuals, legislators and the government at the earliest.”
