CSU of SJC Jakhama celebrates 33rd Fresher's day

Kohima, September 10 (MExN): The Chakesang Students’ Union (CSU) of St Joseph’s College (Autonomous) Jakhama celebrated its 33rd fresher’s day cum social gathering at Moluki, Kohima on September 7.
The programme was held under the theme “Transcending Towards Success" and was graced by Dr Neisatuo Mero, Medical Officer(Dental)CHC Chozuba as the Guest Speaker, stated a press release issued by the CSU SJC.
It stated that the Dr Neisatuo Mero speaking at the programme, challenged the students with the theme that we must move forward for the future. He spoke on the importance of respect for each other and encouraged the students to learn Khezha, Chokri and Poumai dailect. He also stressed on the importance of dignity of labour and challenged the students not to focus only on Government jobs but also entrepreneurship, the release said.
Wedeu Mero, Asst Professor, Dept of English, SJC Jakhama exhorted the students citing the importance of academic performance, maintaining good relationships with family, friends and teachers, maintenance of money in student's life. The programme was compeered by Kewezolo and Angule.
Earlier, Zewetso Kapfo, Youth Pastor KCBCK invoked God's blessings while welcome note was delivered by Pete Lasushe, President CSU, SJC (A).
Vewolo Koza, President Kohima Chakhesang Students' Union also greeted the gathering, while the vote of thanks was pronounced by Ruth Mero.
The programme was attended by freshers, senior students, representatives of different bodies, alumni, guest and invitees.
