DIMAPUR, NOVEMBER 5 (MExN): The Dimapur District Autorickshaw Drivers’ Union (DADDU) today informed that the rate for town trip as fixed by the Regional Transport Authority (RTA) is Rs 40. A press note from the DADDU President, I Vitoshe Sema said the union has issued directives to all auto drivers through their respective parking in-charges to use signal lights, following single lane etc. This directive was issued following a seminar held between DADDU officials and DCP Traffic Zone-1 (officers). The DADDU also reminded the public, especially commuters to take note of the auto registration numbers before boarding. Complaints against any authosickshaw driver charging more than the actual rate can be lodged along with the registration number. “Public can also lodge a complaint if any auto drivers are found driving rashly, not following traffic rules etc,” it added. In view of the approaching festive season, the DADDU informed the public, especially those visiting from out of town, to lodge any complaint at the union’s head office near Hotel Saramati, Super Market during office hours i.e. 10:00am to 3:00pm.
