
Wokha, November 5 (MExN): The 1st Falcon Angling Competition organized by District Anglers Wokha Nagaland (DAWN) is set to place at the Tzuza Eryu, Doyang under Pangti area on November 9. The Competition is being organized under two categories: General Category and Mahseer Category. In a press release, DAWN Publicity & Information Secretary T Lotha informed that the total prize money of Rs. 3,00,000/- (Three lakhs) is set to be given to 20 winners in general category and Mahseer category. Additional surprise gifts for three winners include First Catch of the day, Most Discipline Angler and Lucky Angler. For Mahseer category, there will be 'Catch and Release' only. Prizes will be on biggest catch basis. The release further informed that participants will be allowed to use only one rod and two hooks. “Participants are entitled for 'one man one prize' for both general and Mahseer category,” it stated. The competition will start at 7:00 am and close at 3:00 pm. All the participants will be provided free tee-shirt, breakfast and lunch. The event has been sponsored by Department of Tourism, Government of Nagaland as part of the Amur Falcon Conservation Week & Festival.
