Dimapur, September 23 (MExN): The Dimapur Bengali Student's Union (DBSU) in its annual general meeting held at the Conference Hall of Hotel Jal Mahal on September 22 agreed to initiate a new project, under which the union will provide free coaching classes to the “needy students.”


A press release issued by the BBSU stated that the classes will begin after the selection results are declared in all the Dimapur based schools and the students will be chosen for the classes based on defined criteria set by the union. The union also decided to felicitate all Bengali student's who would score 90% and above in the HSLC and HSSLC examination 2020 as well as to give laptop to the best student of its community. It also decided to organize Bengali Premier League in the month of December, it added. 


During the meeting, several new appointments were made. The meeting was chaired by the President DBSU, Subham Nath. Rajat Ghosh, General Secretary, submitted the secretary report where the last year's works and projects were discussed. Besides the general members of the union, it was also attended by the advisors K.K Paul, Bishnu Bhattecharjee, Sudip Narayan and Juel Acharjee, the release said.
