Deputy Commissioner Kiphire informs on NCPCR sitting

Kiphire, September 21 (MExN): The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kiphire, Sarita Yadav, IAS has informed the general public of Kiphire that a setting of National Commission for Protection of Child Rights (NCPCR) bench will be held at the DPDB Hall, Deputy Commissioner office at 11:00 am on September 26. The   registrations will starts from 9:00 am.


The Commission is visiting the district to take complaints against any child rights violation. Any person including children, parent, guardian, caretaker or any other individual working for child rights can submit their complaint before NCPR, the DC Kiphire informed in a press release.


It stated that the complaints can be regarding any of the following areas but are not limited to it: Absence of school in the neighborhood, lack of infrastructure; Capitation fee related; Denial of school admission; Disability related complaint discrimination; Non-NCERT or non-SCERT books; Mid-day meal; Substance or drug abuse; Rehabilitation  for all childhood Development disorder; No payment of dues or compensation; Repatriation of rescued child labour; Child selling product on the road ;Engagement of child labour in hazardous occupation as a domestic labour; Acid attack related matters; Begging on street along with the parents, any other person; Forced begging; Physical abuse, Assault, Abandonment or Neglect; Child victim of domestic violence; Discrimination of child on basis of HIV status; Child beaten by police; Abuse ill treatment of child in CCI; Illegal adoption; Selling of child by CCI; Violence against children; Selling of child; Death due to negligence; Kidnapping: Missing child; Suicide; Violation of child rights in electronic, social or print media; Corporal punishment or physical abuse in school; Curriculum evaluation procedure not laid down by academic authority; Misuse of school premises; No alternate arrangement in case of closure or taking over school’s building; Sexual abuse compensation: Medical negligence; Delay in treatment; Inaction related; Disease related and malnutrition.  


All persons including children who want to report any violation of rights of children will be afforded an opportunity to provide written submission and be heard by the commission, the release said.


NCPCR is statutory body of the government of India formed under CPCR Act 2007.The core of the Commission is to enable all children to enjoy their rights as enshrined in the constitution an provisioned under different Acts/laws.
