DHS Zunheboto conducts RCH cum MMU camp

Zunheboto, September 9 (MExN): District Health Society (DHS) Zunheboto conducted Reproductive Child Health (RCH) cum Mobile Medical Unit (MMU) camp at Tizu Island SC, Zunheboto on September 8.
To strengthen healthcare facilities and take healthcare to the doorstep of the public in rural areas, RCH and MMU conducted the Health Camp.
Tizu Island SC covers 10 surrounding villages and is one of the hard-to-reach areas under Zunheboto district, a press release from CMO Office Zunheboto stated.
The release added that health services and medicines were provided free of cost to all the patients. Family planning services were also made available for eligible couples.
Dropped out and left out children were identified and vaccinated. Screening for diabetes, hypertension, syphilis, various ailment like viral fever, geriatric and other routine examinations were also done.
The camp administered 112 OPDs, 22 Mp test, 23 Hb test, 41 RBS, 22 HIV test, 64 children were screened for 4 Ds and 35 was referred to higher facilities.
FGD and one to one sessions were carried out on Child Health, Maternal Health, Vector Borne and HIV/AIDS. Pamphlets and leaflets were also distributed.
The team was led by Dr Alemwabang Aier, DPO (RCH & UIP); Dr Renchamo, MO, Suruhoto PHC; Dr Kipito; Dr Liza, DPM, DVBDC, DPO-DAPCU, BPM, RBSK-Co, Counselor, ASHA-Co, nurses, laboratory technicians and surveillance workers.
