Free heart camp for children (0-18 years) conducted in District Hospital Dimapur on July 23.
Dimapur, July 24 (MExN): Free heart camp for children (0-18 years) was jointly organised at District Hospital Dimapur under RBSK programme, National Health Mission by Department of Health & Family Welfare Nagaland and Sky Hospital and Research Center Pvt Ltd, Imphal, Manipur sponsored by Manipur Heart Foundation.
During the camp held on July 23, a total of 44 children were screened. Free consultation and free ECHO screening were provided to all the beneficiaries. According to a press release, 12 children were detected with Congenital Heart Defects (CHDs) during the camp, such as; Atrial Septal Defect (ASD), Ventricular Septal Defect (VSD) and PDA (Patent Ductus Arteriosus).
Under RBSK Scheme, these cases will be treated by Sky Hospital and Research Center Pvt. Ltd, Imphal, Manipur.
The team of medical personnel from Sky Hospital was led by Dr Nurul Islam, with ECHO staff Ranika, OT Staff Dayanada along with other administrative staffs. The team was also assisted by the RBSK team Dimapur.
