Dimapur DPDB deliberates on district sports week

DIMAPUR, November 5 (MExN): The monthly Dimapur District Planning and Development Board meeting was held on November 5 at DCs conference hall Dimapur under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Dimapur, Sushil Kumar Patel.   Reviewing the last DPDB meeting, ADC Dimapur AlberEzung informed the House that an organising committee headed by ADC Dimapur has been constituted to oversee the Dimapur district departmental Sports week, as decided during the last DPDB meeting. Albert informed the HODs of all the departments to submit the filled up forms of the players by 14th November 2018. He further informed that 2 more disciplines i.e. Football and carrom has been included in this year's sports week. The participating teams/ players are to manage their own jersies and also bring their department's sports week flag.   The Sports week scheduled to be held from November 21 to 23 will be held at Nagarjan Government High School Dimapur, Ezung informed.   Agendas for registration of societies including The Global Open University Nagaland Employees Association 7th Mile Dimapur, Link Society Thilixu Village and opening of new school by the name of Foot Prints School Kuda C, Dimapur were deliberated and the House decided to forward to the Government for further necessary action.   In the meeting, team e- circle comprising of Naga youths explained about management of E- waste with the aid of power point presentation. Nagaland's First Authorised Electronic waste collection center collects and transports e- waste from customer sites, store and transport to recycling company in India. Their service also includes buying and disposing e- waste ethically and carrying out sensitisation programmes.
