Dimapur, October 7 (MExN): The Organizing Committee of Dimapur Night Carnival (DNC) 2018 had a meeting on October 7 at Hotel Saramati to chalk out programmes and preparations for the upcoming winter carnival scheduled from December 12-16.
Among other resolutions, the committee resolved to ban sale of IMFL and gambling with cash in the form of card games. The meeting also decided to approach the chief minister for repair/renovation of the super market road stretch before the commencement of the carnival.
The meeting further constituted nine sub-committees for smooth conduct of the carnival.
The Organizing Committee of DNC 2018 is headed by Akashe Zhimomi, president Dimapur Chamber of Commerce & Industry (DCCI) as convenor; president Business Association of Nagas (BAN), Vitho Zao, and president East Dimapur Business Association (EDBA), Solomon Awomi, as co-convenors and Dr. Khekugha Muru as secretary.
DNC 2018 convenor Akashe Zhimomi assured that this year's carnival would be held in congenial atmosphere where every section of people including visitors can enjoy the night life of Dimapur during the festive season.
Dr. Khekugha also said since IMFL and card gambling would be banned this time, the carvinal would provide ideal ambience for young and old alike and a quality time to families.
