Test samples of QC and COVID Hospital deaths return positive in Dimapur

The elderly patient, who died at the COVID-19 Hospital on July 24, and the woman from Assam, who was found dead at a paid quarantine centre on July 22, have been confirmed COVID-19 positive. Their confirmatory RT-PCR test results arrived today.

The deceased man, around 78 years of age and a resident of Kalibari Road, was admitted to the district COVID-19 Hospital on July 22 after his sample tested positive in the TrueNat screening. He was initially admitted to the Zion Hospital & Research Centre with co-morbid conditions.

The woman was 2 months pregnant and reported to be unwell when she reached Dimapur in the early hours of July 22 and checked into a paid quarantine at MP Road. She was found dead around 5:00 am by a medical team, which responded to a distress call.
