Dimapur, July 12 (MExN): A four-day summer camp for 250 scouts and guides from Don Bosco Hr Sec School (DBHSS) and Holy Cross Hr Sec School, Dimapur was conducted at DBHSS from July 8 to 10

An update received here stated that the summer camp aimed to provide an immersive and educational environment for the young scouts and guides, allowing them to develop crucial skills, forge new friendships, and enjoy the wonders of nature. Over the course of the four days, the camp offered a diverse range of activities tailored to foster personal growth and teamwork.

Led by experienced instructors and dedicated camp staff, the participants engaged in various activities designed to challenge them both physically and mentally. From outdoor adventures such as hiking and nature exploration to survival skills workshops and leadership training, the camp provided opportunities for self-discovery and character development.

Additionally, the programme included team-building exercises and group challenges that encouraged collaboration, communication, and problem-solving among the scouts and guides. Through these activities, the participants learned the value of teamwork and developed essential life skills that will serve them well in their future endeavours.

Notable activities during the camp included pioneering ad knotting, first aid and emergency response training, cooking and outdoor meal preparation, adventure sports, and environmental conservation workshops. These activities not only taught practical skills but also instilled a sense of responsibility towards the environment and the importance of sustainable practices.

The summer camp also facilitated interaction and camaraderie between the scouts and guides from different schools. The shared experiences and collaborative activities allowed them to form lasting friendships, fostering a sense of unity and understanding among the participants.
