Do not believe misconceptions on COVID vaccine: CMO Zunheboto

Zunheboto, February 15 (MExN): Awareness and sensitization on COVID-19 vaccination was held in Sumi Baptist Church - Nito Mount and 8th NAP, Naltoqa, Zunheboto district on February 15.

Dr K Akaho Sema, CMO, Zunheboto motivated to come forward and get vaccinated and not miss the opportunity. He encouraged all the participants to get vaccinated and not to believe in the misconceptions about the vaccine from the social media. He also gave a detailed report on the number of healthcare workers in India and in Nagaland who have been vaccinated for the first dose so far, and the number of healthcare workers vaccinated in Zunheboto as well. 

He gave detailed explanation on the Covishield vaccine and how the doses are administered. He appealed to all the participants to get vaccinated in order to stay safe and to protect oneself, family and neighbours, citing that frontline workers are in the high risk exposure. 

The workshop was followed by interaction and discussion with the Resource Person and the participants. This was stated in a press release issued by Shekho Sophie, District Media Officer, CMO Office Zunheboto.
